2023 Overview

After more heavy rain and flooding the week before the scheduled East Coast Bull Week the sales  had to be moved back by two weeks with many road closures around the district. This was challenging given we had had two years of continual weekly rain and waterlogged paddocks. Despite this we were really pleased with how the bulls looked on sale day and how well they held up given they had been standing in water for so long!

We were very pleased once sale day arrived, and the roads were open as the two week delay felt like two months! We had a wonderful turnout on the day and a full clearance selling 47/ 47 with our highest ever average of $12,861.70. If was very humbling to see the support in our breeding program with depth right through the catalogue. Our sale numbers were down due to the flooding from Gabrielle and the loss of several bull paddocks.

Top price was Lot 2 our Gabrielle swimmer who sold to Whenuapapa and Tapiri Angus for $42,000 with two other bulls going to stud. Many thanks to purchasers, under bidders and agents for their support.
